We’re looking at how you are going to realise your project.
To be able to answer this question you need to have a clear idea NOW
What your project is about?
Who it is aimed at? You might have a couple of groups in mind, in which case, you should be clear who these groups are. This will help you plan what you need to do and who you might involve.
What are the major stages you need to go through to get from where you are now, to the finished work?
On 1st March you are going to present your project to an audience who might know nothing about your work. Clarity is key.
For Thursday could you bring a visual explanation of how you are going to realise your project. This could be on A2 paper or if you want to create a slide for projection that is fine.
This work should indicate:
Your research question
The intended audience
The stages you intend to go through to achieve an outcome. Block these out.
The specific questions you are grappling with. These are important as they give you (and us) an idea of how you are approaching the question and allow the possibility of useful feedback. But they must be specific. If the questions remain vague and general then this will hold you back.
Remember, this could become part of your presentation, so it should be helpful to you. It should show how your project has developed from last week. It should be designed in a way that all of us can view the work. It should be of a standard worthy of MA students.
Email me if you have any questions.
I look forward to seeing you all, on time, on Thursday.
